About us

 

St Luke’s, Cockatoo is a growing and vibrant church that is nestled in the eastern part of the Dandenong Ranges on the outskirts of Melbourne. Built soon after the Ash Wednesday bushfires, the church meets in a mud brick building that reflects its surroundings. The church is a gospel based church which has a heart for community outreach and care.

 

Made up of people of all ages, St Luke’s is a church that follows Jesus Christ passionately and seeks to connect people with Him and each other. St Luke’s continues to build towards being a church growing in the community, reflecting, serving and transforming it, for the good of the world. We have a strong emphasis on looking after people from all walks of life as they face lifes challenges. We encourage people to grow through the experiences of life with the care and encouragement of others and the faithfulness of God. We are a church that is continually reminded again and again that we exist primarily for the people who are not our members and this keeps us focused on mission as our primary reason for being.
